Note di degustazione
There is a touch of wood framing the cool and very fresh aromas of wild red and dark berries that are liberally laced with humus, forest floor and sauvage aromas. There is good volume, minerality and detail to the broad-shouldered, intense and driving flavors that possess good phenolic maturity on the mouth coating, balanced and lingering finish. While definitely not a forward wine it is more approachable than several of these 2011 grands crus. (Drink starting 2021)

Sweeter, riper and more spice than the Charmes. More spice and oak more evident. Savoury, spiced cherry finish. Denser and more powerful than the Charmes but less charming, certainly a bit more chewy. Same fresh juicy fluidity even with the greater power that underlies it. (JH)
