Note di degustazione
There are 600 cases of the 2021 Stones Longitude-Latitude, a 60-40 blend of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Like the other Stones wines, it spent 22 months in new French oak. The nose kicks off with herbal, tobacco-like and piney scents, followed by black cherries and menthol. It's full-bodied, tannic, structured and intense. Yes, it will surely be long lived, but will it ever give hedonistic pleasure, or will it just be an impressive monument to extraction?

A more Cabernet Franc-dominated release, the 2021 Stones Longitude-Latitude checks in as 60% Cabernet Franc and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon from a mix of the three Stones releases. It has a certain bloody, iron-like character as well as beautiful floral nuances in its darker red and blue fruits. Deep, concentrated, and tight, with medium to full-bodied richness, it has incredible purity and ample tannins, but this beauty needs to be forgotten for 4-5 years at a minimum.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Stones Longitude Latitude is a Cabernet Franc/Cabernet Sauvignon blend. A gorgeous modern Napa Valley wine, the 2021 possesses tremendous depth and opulence. Cabernet Franc takes the leading role. Dark red cherry jam, spice, mocha, lavender and licorice soar out of the glass. Insistent saline notes and driving tannins give the wine its shape. This is a fine showing for a wine from young vines, all from Upper Range.
