All Cabernet Sauvignon from the Stags Leap District, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Wildfoote Vineyard Vixen Block is a blockbuster of a wine that has loads of crème de cassis, blackcurrants, chocolate, leafy herbs, and tobacco aromas and flavors. It's ripe, pure, beautifully balanced, and has a great finish.

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Wildfoote Vineyard Vixen Block is another super-distinctive wine in this lineup. Inky blue and purplish fruit, chocolate, espresso, mint and lavender are all generous in this jammy, super-concentrated Cabernet. Russell Bevan's style and this Stags Leap vineyard marry beautifully to produce an unabashedly opulent Cabernet that will drink well right out of the gate.
I loved the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Wildfoote Vineyard. This beauty has a huge nose of blue fruits, flowers, peach pit, and violets. It's full-bodied, has a forward, sexy profile, and no hard edges, as well as more mid-palate depth than most in the vintage. It's a beautiful, sexy example of this cuvée that's going to drink nicely right out of the gate.
A barrel sample to be bottled in January 2019, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Wildfoote Vineyard is very deep purple-black in color with bags of black fruits, florals and blueberries with touches of grape jelly, redcurrants and red roses. The medium-bodied palate is fine, fresh and elegant, finishing long and pure.
