Note di degustazione
Bevan's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Vixen Block Wildfoote Vineyard combines hints of mint and perfectly ripe cherries on the nose, while in the mouth, there's a lovely sense of richness on the mid-palate, without any heaviness—very Stags Leap District. Silky and velvety, with a tremendously long finish, this is a real beauty.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Wildfoote Vineyard Vixen Block is a dense, potent wine. Black cherry, graphite, lavender and cloves all race across the palate. This vibrant Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon hits all the right notes. It's a terrific example of what Russell Bevan can do with a top site. Crème de cassis, chocolate, licorice, lavender and new leather build into the sumptuous, classically Bevan finish.
Dusty red and black raspberries, iron, savory herbs, chocolate, and spicy notes all emerge from the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Wildfoote Vineyard Vixen Block, a full-bodied, deep, incredibly pure, focused 2021 that has the vintage structure and power while staying beautifully balanced, elegant, and layered. Coming from the Stags Leap District of the Valley and brought up in new barrels, forget bottles for 4-5 years and enjoy over the following 20-25 years. This is the finest vintage of this cuvée I've tasted.
Coming from a site near Shafer, in the Stags Leap District, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Wildfoote Vineyard has a great core of darker, almost blue fruits as well as notes of iron, crushed stone, chocolate, and some obvious minerality. Full-bodied and concentrated, with remarkable purity, it’s a brilliant 2021 that will drink nicely right out of the gate yet also evolve gracefully.
