Note di degustazione
I loved the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon ADAMVS and it’s a wonderfully complete, full-bodied, flawlessly balanced Cabernet that flirts with perfection. Offering classic Howell Mountain scrub brush, black tea, tobacco, and foresty notes, it has beautiful black and blue fruits, ripe, polished tannins, a great mid-palate and a monster of a finish. It’s one of those wines that carry incredible richness and power yet stays weightless and even elegant. Drink bottles anytime over the coming 20-30 years.

The flagship 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Adamvs offers good depth and power, with attractive floral, tobacco and menthol overtones. Here, too, the oak was probably a bit much for the inherent structure of the wine.
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and spent 21 months in 100% new French oak prior to being bottled unfiltered. This is a dense, opaque, bluish purple colored wine with surprising structure for a 2014, but it is mountain fruit and the owners, no doubt, have a fondness for Bordeaux. The wine is backward for a 2014, showing considerable tannin, but the concentration level is impressive, as is the extract and richness of mostly black cherries, blackcurrants, loamy soil notes, a hint of mulberry, truffle and barrique. Give this wine 2-3 years of additional bottle age and drink it over the following two decades.
