Note di degustazione
Deep ruby-garnet. Cedar-cinnamon oak then some fresh earth, very ripe cassis and red cherry, tobacco leaf and vanilla. Much more expressive and complex than the straight Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 from this producer. Ripe cassis, with good freshness of acidity. Peppery, fairly firm tannins. Tobacco- and cinnamon-laced, long finish. Attractive and layered. (TJ)

Wide-open nose with menthol, tomato stalk and blackcurrant. Full of delicious, open aromas and generous fruit – very charming at this stage with plenty of primary fruit focus, but lots of aromatic depth of field too. And not too ambitiously priced, either. (RH)
The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Trailside Vineyard is bold and intense, but also a bit rough around the edges. The 2009 offers plenty of richness, but doesn't seem to have the polish of the 2010. Sweet red cherry, blood orange and sweet spices all add nuance, but the tannins remain a bit grainy and coarse. Overall this is a solid effort.
