Featuring a deep magenta core, the 2020 Block 1 commences with sappy blackberry and subtle hints of dark cherry, accompanied by notes of spiced plum compote and a wealth of oak spices poised to endure a decade and a half. Crafted entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon, this full-bodied wine exhibits freshness and flashiness on the palate, delivering layers of complexity that somersault with precision, power and finesse. Flavors reminiscent of Chambord and black raspberry jam dance alongside subtle notes of baked earth and wilted purple flowers, enhanced by a floral lift of crème de violette. The wine gracefully glides to a finish that continues to unveil secrets over its long lingering and ever-evolving aftertaste. This matured for 28 months in 100% new French oak, adding to its allure. A total of 7,200 bottles were filled.
