The 2015 ExcelsuS is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon with grapes grown from within the Montalcino territory. This wine delivers round intensity and solid structure with plenty of dark fruit, blackberry, plum spice, leather and grilled herb at the core. This is a dark and full-bodied expression with long persistence and integrated tannins. I could imagine a pairing with oven-roasted lasagna with crunchy cheese on the top.
