The 2019 Zinfandel is wonderfully perfumed and spicy with depths of crushed raspberry, sage and exotic spice. This is silky-smooth yet cool-toned in feel with mineral-laced red fruits and blue inner floral tones accelerated by juicy acidity. It finishes structured and long with grippy oak tannins that linger as notes of licorice and inner violet tones fade. The 2019 Zinfandel is a field blend that contains 8% Syrah and 1% Viognier, all co-fermented. (46% new oak)

The 2019 Zinfandel is an exuberant blend of 91% Zinfandel, 8% Syrah and 1% Viognier, aged 17 months in 46% new French oak. It's ultra spicy, with dark berries laced with licorice and potpourri on the nose. An elegant frame supports intense, fresh fruits, finishing with tremendous spice. 395 cases were made for a spring of 2022 release.
The 2019 Zinfandel offers up a big, beautiful, medium to full-bodied style carrying ample blue and black fruits as well as candied violets and toasted spices. As with all the wines here, the tannins are ripe and polished, it has solid purity of fruit, and while already enjoyable, it’s going to keep for a decade. Epoch is another top estate in Paso Robles that has seen incredible growth and change over the past decade. Now in a new facility on York Mountain, winemaker Jordan Fiorentini continues to experiment with new blends as well as different fermentation vessels, also using a touch more whole cluster at times. These are rich, textured, classic Paso Robles reds.
