Note di degustazione
The 2019 Chardonnay Evenstad Reserve opens with matchstick tones that give way to delicate chamomile, beeswax and mushroom. The palate is focused and tangy with saline-tinged fruit, and there's a notably long, shimmery finish. It deserves another 2-3 years in bottle to unwind.

Butter aroma is somewhat separate from the apple and pineapple fruit. Same on the palate – it's enjoyably old-school Chardonnay, with relatively soft acidity and plenty of dairy flavour. Light nuttiness on the finish, but doesn't especially persist. Might this have been better a year ago? (RH)
The 2019 Chardonnay Evenstad Reserve was aged for 14 months in 100% new French oak. The nose is fresh with white flowers, honeydew melon, and delicate oak spice, followed by a medium-bodied palate with refreshing acidity and notes of peach, lime zest, and chalky earth. Drink 2022-2030.
Full bottle 1,447 g. Harvested 14 September to 1 October. 14 months in French oak. Pale lemon. Aromas of zesty Key-lime curd, yogurt and vanilla flowers. Obviously oaked but with a light touch and excellent integration. The palate has refreshing, high, mouth-watering acidity, and ripe Key-lime curd citrus. A light cinnamony, salty, bread-dough quality on the finish. Nicely balanced with good energy. Just lovely. (SCJ)
