Note di degustazione
Shimmering ruby-red. Powerful red and blue fruit, potpourri and spicecake aromas show excellent clarity and pick up vanilla and star anise notes with air. Sappy and energetic on the palate, offering concentrated boysenberry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors braced by a spine of juicy acidity. The spicy note comes back strong on a long, subtly sweet finish framed by supple, polished tannins.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Two Barns comes from Willakenzie soils. Aged 17 months in 62% new French oak, it has a medium ruby-purple color and a nose of crushed blueberries, red currant jelly and warm blackberries accented by peppercorn, dust, woodsmoke, rose petal and tangerine with an earthy, underbrush-like undercurrent. The medium-bodied palate is super intense and layered, finely grained and with lip-smacking freshness calling you in for another sip on the long, layered finish. Yes!
Thereâs a dark-fruited edge here with a super fresh core that brings blackberries and dark cherries into unique focus. The palate has a very supple feel with fluidity and flesh and a wealth of darker fruit on offer. The tannins are quite prevalent on the finish, in that they frame the wine from the outside in. Drink or hold.
