Note di degustazione
The 2000 Zinfandel Jackass Hill is pale to medium garnet-brick in color and has a bouquet of very pretty dried flowers, kirsch, stone fruit and dried cranberries notes with touches of black olives, citrus peel and crushed rocks with a hint of leather. On the palate, it is full, rich and very soft with lovely freshness lifting the long, perfumed finish.

(17.6% alcohol) Medium, slightly dull red. Porty aromas of roasted red berries, mocha and burnished oak; showed a sappier fruit quality as it opened in the glass. Superripe, thick and chewy; less sweet today than the Jackass Vineyard, and showing more oak and spearmint tones. One could eat this with a fork. But I find this style rather heavy.
Informazioni sul produttore

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
