Coming from toward the southwestern corner of the famous vineyard (specifically, Block E1), AXR's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon features classic scents of mixed cherries, mint and loamy earth. Rich and concentrated, it's full-bodied and plush in the mouth, finishing long and velvety yet also fresh and vibrant. It's a terrific effort, only rivaled by Denali as the best AXR wine this vintage.

This ripe, full-bodied, unctuous effort nevertheless stays flawlessly balanced, has remarkable purity, and rock-solid underlying structure. It's going to evolve for two decades.
