Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2018-2028, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Apr 2018

The 2015 Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières opens in the glass with notes of peach, preserved citrus, nutmeg and oatmeal, framed by an exotic top-not of petrol. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, layered and flavorful, with good concentration and superior tension and reserved by comparison with Boillot's more open-knit, easier-going Meursault Village.

Punteggio 92/100 · Da bere 2020-2027, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2017

Full yellow. Sexy, ripe aromas of orange and hazelnut. Supple and ripe, conveying a captivating sweetness to its apricot and orange flavors. A firm spine of acidity and minerality makes this a bit tight for drinking today. This classic full, ripe Genevrières finishes tactile and very long--and much smoother than the village Meursault. Boillot noted that this wine is strong in dry extract owing to the thickness of the skins and pulpiness of the grapes. He added that, in contrast to the 2005 vintage, there was no hydric stress here in '15 due to the smaller number of bunches and grapes.

Bright lemon-yellow color. Tightly wound aromas of orange blossom, spices and white pepper. A bit smaller-scaled than the Charmes but with lovely silky sweetness to its soft citrus fruit. Finishes spicy, bright and long, with a dusty mandarin orange firmness. Boillot is intent on harvesting his Genevrières early. "Pick it late and it tastes like Viognier," he explained.
