Note di degustazione
Good deep red. Very ripe aromas of dark cherry, mocha and brown spices. Large-scaled, broad and rich but not overly sweet; this has the size of a grand cru if not the subtlety. For all its volume, this comes across as a bit monolithic today and will need time to express its personality. Plenty of depth, though.

Bright, deep red-ruby. Distinctly darker aromas of black raspberry, violet, licorice and smoky oak. Tightly wound and less showy than the Cheneverys, with flavors of dark fruits, licorice and mint. Finishes with substantial palate-dusting tannins and very good length.
Rich and fruity and easy and wonderfully relaxed! Fruit subsumes oak but still quite a light wine. Good true fruity stuff. Though the oak is a bit obvious. (JR)
