Bright ruby. Minerally aromas of cassis, licorice and flowers. Densely packed but bright, with impressively broad, mouthfilling flavors of dark berries and minerals. Shows an intriguing lead pencil flavor. Finishes with substantial ripe tannins and excellent length.

One of my favorites, the 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon St. Helena Home Vineyard is a classic example of Cabernet Sauvignon’s creme de cassis side. With a terrific texture, wonderful opulence, and a long, full-bodied finish, it will be a 20-year wine. (Release date 9/05) Tel. (707) 963-7115; Fax (707) 963-1735
Good full ruby-red. Cassis, licorice and bitter chocolate on the nose. Dense, sweet and pliant, with plush flavors of currant, plum and chocolate. Finishes with a chocolatey flavor and broad tannins that reach the teeth.
Bright, saturated ruby. Dusty aromas of crushed blueberry and blackberry and licorice. Chewy, densely packed and quite primary; a very young cabernet with a distinctly stony element. Finishes with strong, slightly tough tannins.
