Note di degustazione
The limited production (200 cases) cuvee of 1999 Pinot Noir Precious Mountain comes from a young vineyard planted at an elevation of 1,800 feet. It possesses a tart, high acid, provocative bouquet of berry fruit, raspberries, cola, minerals, and flowers. Although tartness compresses the wine's texture, it is loaded, rich, and pure. Patience will be required. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2013. Tel. (707) 433-6425; Fax (707) 433-6546

Deep red-ruby color. Brambly red and black berries and mocha on the nose. Big and chewy in the mouth, with rather wild berry, earth and tobacco flavors. Dense, thick and palate-staining, with almost exotic sweetness perfectly balanced by brisk acidity. Finishes very long, with big, chewy tannins. Perhaps less pliant than the Riverblock offering, but a major mouthful of pinot noir, and not at all heavy.
