1990 Domaine Méo-Camuzet Nuits-Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru

The Nuits St.-Georges-Les Boudots, made from one of Meo-Camuzet's lowest yielding vineyards (over 50-year old vines), reveals a saturated deep ruby/purple color, a terrific nose of black fruits, minerals, licorice, and new oak, medium to full body, and a muscular, chunky finish with gobs of tannin, glycerin, and alcohol. While approachable now, it will not be fully ready for at least 2-3 years; it should keep for 12 years or more. The 1990s are the finest wines the Domaine Meo-Camuzet has yet produced.
