Mid crimson. Minerals, even putty. Lots of sweetness on the palate. Then it shows a little bit of oak at this stage. I think I’d go for the value of the village version. (JR)

Having established Domaine des Comtes Lafon as one of the finest addresses in Burgundy, Dominique Lafon set up an eponymous négociant business in 2008. The vines are all farmed by the Lafon team and the wines generally leaner than those of Comtes Lafon, with less new oak.
