The 2016 Syrah The Hedge opens its aromatics slowly, blossoming to red and black currant, tobacco leaves, underbrush and garrigue. The full-bodied palate is powdery and bright with a concentrated yet still youthfully coiled core of mineral-driven fruit, and it boasts a long, layered finish. It's only beginning to offer savory hints and will be very long lived in bottle.
