From a vineyard planted in 1920 just east of Silverado Trail and north of the city of Napa, the 2022 Zinfandel Grande Vineyard is a perfumed basket of just-ripe stone fruit and cherries. Full-bodied and concentrated, it's firmly tannic—but ripe, not overly hard—with a lingering finish.
Planted in 1920. Medium verging on deep purple in colour. Bramble, crushed dried red pepper and smoky charcuterie on the nose. Bright fresh acid on the palate and lightly bitter, very fine tannin. Oak is evident on the palate with a kiss of vanilla and sweet toast on the finish. (SCJ)
