The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Vintners Select is terrific, with a classic Cabernet nose of red and black currants supported by lead pencil shavings, tobacco, and some gravelly earth-like minerality. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's not a blockbuster but builds nicely on the palate, with ripe, focusing tannins, a Bordeaux-like sense of structure, and outstanding length. It's approachable today and should keep for 15 years with no issues. It's a classic, impeccably made Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Vintner Select is a classy, polished wine. Dark cherry, plum, spice, tobacco, leather and menthol are all kicked up a few notches. This plush, succulent Cabernet Sauvignon is overt, racy and very easy to like. It’s a classic wine from Pride built on immediacy and pleasure. (AG)
