The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Gravel Series Secret Garden shows all the finesse and silkiness that is typical of this site. Dark cherry, plum, cinnamon and rose petal are all amplified nicely. In 2018, the differences between the two MBar Cabernet (Eric Bovet and Secret Garden) are relatively minor compared to the 2019s.

Another beautiful wine in the lineup, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Secret Garden offers up a rich, decadent nose of spiced dark fruits, chocolate, graphite, and roasted herbs and tobacco. The Secret Garden is sourced from Mbar Ranch, which lies on Oakville's southern border. It is a magical site. The 2018 leans a bit towards the more delicate side of things, a combination of the vintage and the age of these vines.
