I loved the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Tonella Vineyard, all Cabernet sourced from a vineyard in Rutherford and brought up all in French oak. Complex notes of herbes de Provence, cigar wrapper, damp earth, and both black and blue fruits all flow to a full-bodied 2016 that has the purity and elegance of the vintage front and center. It’s another balanced, incredibly high-quality wine from this team.

The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Tonella Vineyard offers terrific depth in a sumptuous yet mid-weight style that can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring. Black cherry, mocha, espresso, chocolate, new leather and licorice add complexity to a brooding, expressive Cabernet Sauvignon endowed with tons of character.
Made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Tonella Vineyard has a nose of earth, cedar, menthol and cassis with red and black plums and dusty soil. The palate is medium to full-bodied, firm, chewy and a little hollow.
