Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2020-2033, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2015

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is one of the more sensual, open-knit wines in the Favia range of 2013. The flavors are deep and intense, but the tannins are also silky and contours soft, both of which give the Oakville Cabernet a bit more early accessibility than is the norm in this vintage. The 2013 could use a few years to shed some baby fat, but it will be hard to resist in the meantime. Scents of dark chocolate, plum and spice meld into the spherical finish. The 2013 has softened quite a bit since last year, but it still needs time.

Punteggio 94-97/100 · Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2014

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville has softer tannins, more mid-palate energy and overall resonance than the Coombsville Cabernet. Here it is the wine's seamless personality and Oakville warmth that really elevate things in a meaningful way. The sheer intensity of the tannins virtually covers the fruit in a huge explosive, massively tannic wine that captures the pedigree of the vintage to the fullest. The 2013 emerges from Clone 7 and Clone 337 Cabernet Sauvignon in Oakville Ranch.

Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2023-2033, Antonio Galloni, Vinous

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville has softened a touch with age, but it remains a dark, dense wine with the more extracted style that is typical of this era. Blackberry, bittersweet chocolate, licorice and spice build into the potent finish. This is the most forward of the 2013s at Favia, but it should drink well for another decade or more.
