1990 Domaine Bosquet des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape Tradition

The 1990 red Chateauneuf du Pape is marginally superior to the 1989. The color is a saturated opaque purple, and the nose offers up beautifully pure, super ripe aromas of black cherries, cassis, herbs, and pepper. In the mouth there is splendid ripeness, a rich, full-bodied texture, as well as a long, moderately tannic, structured, immensely impressive finish. Anticipated maturity: now-2007. Last tasted 12/95.
