Half-bottle. Orangey-amber colour. Creamy crème brûlée nose. Really very sweet indeed. Perhaps not that subtle. (JR)

The 2004 L’Extravagant de Doisy-Daëne is a little more muted on the nose compared to other vintages, although it still delivers lovely pure aromas of quince, marmalade, barley sugar and peach. The palate is very well balanced, unctuous and spicy with orange zest, marmalade, quince and apricot. Wonderful build towards its bravura finish, this is drinking beautifully now.
