Medium to deep garnet colored, the 2010 Zinfandel Giuseppe and Luisa comes striding out of the glass with bold blackberry preserves, prunes, raisin cake and raspberry pie notes plus hints of oolong tea and dusty soil. Wow—a big bertha of a wine in the mouth with layer upon layer of black and blue fruit preserves and wonderfully plush tannins to support it all, with oodles of freshness lifting the very long finish.

The 2010 Zinfandel Giuseppe & Luisa is striking. By far the best of these 2010 Zinfandels, the Giuseppe and Luisa is beautifully layered and voluptuous, a true rarity in this vintage. Dark cherries, tobacco, cloves and new leather all flow through to a gracious finish that is given an additional element of lift from attractive floral nuances.
Inky ruby. Explosive aromas of candied black and blue fruits, violet, allspice and anise. Sappy, seamless boysenberry and blueberry flavors show very good depth and surprising vivacity, picking up a smoky nuance with air. Supple and peppery on the finish, leaving behind notes of candied blue fruits.
