Note di degustazione
At the higher end of the alcohol spectrum, these Martinelli Zinfandels are powerful wines for sure, but I hasten to add that they are beautifully balanced and in terms of flavor, tannin and complexity, they represent the pinnacles of ripeness in every sense. Medium garnet in color, the 2015 Zinfandel Jackass Hill offers up seriously intense prunes, spice cake, Christmas pudding and chocolate box notes with a lifted undercurrent of raspberry preserves and dried roses. Super concentrated, rich and decadently fruited, this is truly an iron fist in a velvet glove wine with a finish that just goes on and on. Just 59 cases were made.

Dark cherry pit, plum, smoke and licorice make a strong opening statement in the 2015 Zinfandel Jackass Hill. Scents of lavender, menthol, licorice and dark spices develop with time in the glass, filling out the wine's frame effortlessly. Ample, powerful and structured, the Jackass Hill is a classic Martinelli wine done in a style that is over and super-ripe to its core.
Informazioni sul produttore

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
