Note di degustazione
The inky purple-black colored 2015 Syrah Chico's Hill opens with pronounced crème de cassis, baked blackberries, tar and smoky bacon notes with wafts of black pepper, potpourri and fertile loam. The ultra full-bodied, pedal-to-the-metal palate gives loads of spicy black fruit preserves and a notably chewy texture, with balanced freshness and a very long, pepper-laced finish. Only 18 cases produced.

The 2015 Syrah Chico's Hill is laced with the essence of dark cherry, pomegranate, spice, cedar and tobacco. Lush and forward, but with good aromatic complexity, the Chico's is another wine that exudes character as well as nuance. I would prefer to drink it over the next decade. Soft, plush and inviting, with no hard edges and exceptional balance, the Chico's Hill is super-impressive today.

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
