Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2025-2040, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Oct 2024

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Carneros is particularly impressive, coming as it does from a region better known for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. From a site previously planted to Chardonnay, Malbec and Merlot, it's fragrant, almost floral, with gently leafy notes and a sturdy, cassis-driven base. It's full-bodied and firmly structured—there is substantial tannic richness to work through—but it's also ripe, finishing long and velvety, tart and astringent. 565 cases produced.

Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2024-2030, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Jul 2024

Blended from numerous sites up and down the valley, Pine Ridge's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon boasts bold black cherries on the nose, accented by hints of scorched coffee and vanilla. There's nary a hint of green to be found in this well-ripened, large-scaled wine that's full-bodied and concentrated, showing ample richness for a wine that retails for $70 or less. No, it may not be terribly long lived, as it clocks in at 15.5% alcohol on the label, but it's fun now and should continue to drink well for at least several years.

Deep ruby verging on purple in colour. Lightly herbal cassis-driven nose with dried thyme and fresh black plum. Round tannin and fresh acidity. A shame it’s a touch bitter on the finish – starts very pretty! (SCJ)

Bright cassis, tobacco, sagebrush, and some chocolate notes define the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, a ripe, medium to full-bodied, pure, beautifully balanced 2021 offering sweet tannins and just an up-front, satisfying, balanced profile. Drink bottles over the coming decade or so.
