Note di degustazione
Bright full ruby to the rim. Slightly liqueur-like aromas of blackberry, kirsch, bitter chocolate, espresso and tar. Plush, suave and a bit high-toned on entry, then savory and rather tight in the middle palate, with crushed mountain berry flavors framed by slightly elevated acidity and lifted by violet and mineral nuances. This still seems quite youthfully unevolved. The tannins are fine-grained but the finish could still use another year or two to soften and expand.

Deep, dense and rich, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Spring Mountain oozes with character and sheer personality. Black fruit, tobacco, incense and crushed rocks are some of the many nuances that unfold as the wine sits in the glass. Tar, asphalt and licorice are layered into the sinewy, powerful finish. The 2010 is a fascinating and totally intriguing Cabernet. The blend is 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot.
