Note di degustazione
Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2016 Pinot Noir Solomon Hills Vineyard opens with aromas of spiced cranberry sauce, blueberries, violet, licorice, black and red berry preserves and Earl Grey tea leaves. The light to medium-bodied palate is very silky with a good core of nuanced fruits, firm, grainy tannins and great freshness, finishing long and perfumed.

The 2016 Pinot Noir Solomon Hills Vineyard comes from a cool, windswept site not far from Bien Nacido. It has a vibrant, cool-climate zip in its tart cherry, raspberry, and mulberry fruits. Possessing lots of spice and leafy herbs, medium body, good acidity, and a clean finish, it's a solidly built, enjoyable effort to drink over the coming 4-6 years.
The 2016 Pinot Noir Solomon Hills Vineyard is quite ripe and exuberant in this vintage. Black cherry, plum, cola, new French oak, hard candy and spice notes are all given an extra kick of intensity. This is an especially flamboyant style for a vineyard site that, in my view, does better with a subtler approach.
