2013 Davis Estates Petite Sirah Phase V

Coming from their estate vineyard in Calistoga, as well as the Sutro Vineyard in Calistoga, the 2013 Petite Sirah Phase V is a huge wine that is still not yet in bottle; it is scheduled to be bottled in January 2016 after spending 28 months in 400-liter French puncheons. Exhibiting blueberry and mulberry notes, pepper, licorice and white flowers, it is opaque purple, rich, full-bodied and monolithic, but intense and powerful. It should drink well for 25-30 years.
