Note di degustazione
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Prado offers lovely blackberries, cassis and black forest cake notions with touches of cigar box, baking spices and roses plus a waft of game. Full-bodied, concentrated and laden with black berry preserves and savory layers, it has a velvety texture and just enough freshness, finishing long and spicy.

Tighter and more backward, yet with serious notes of graphite, scorched earth, lead pencil and white chocolate, as well as a huge core of dark fruit, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Prado builds on the palate with a full-bodied, concentrated mouthfeel that carries ripe tannin and a big finish. It’s just another incredible wine from this estate that delivers the goods. Give bottles 3-4 years of bottle age and enjoy over the following 15-20 years. While the 2014s from this estate are beautiful across the board, the 2015s are a clear step up. Pulling from their 45-acre estate in Spring Mountain as well as sourcing fruit from Oakville and Yountville, Frias is making some of the most compelling wines in the valley. This is a bandwagon you don’t want to miss.
