Readers with a fine eye for detail will note that the back label of Turnbull's 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon reads, "Vinted and Bottled by...", normally a confession (of sorts) that the wine—or at least some of it—was purchased in bulk. It's an earthy, perhaps slightly smoky effort, with dark, plummy fruit and an appealing roundness and soft tannins on the palate. Enjoy it over the near term.

Lots of plums, darker fruits, chocolate, and incense notes emerge from the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, a dense, sweetly fruited, pleasure-bent 2020 that’s already drinking nicely. It should keep for 8-10 years and should certainly put a smile on your face.
The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) shows good up front fruit. Dark cherry, plum, chocolate, licorice and spice are front and center, but it's hard to get past the astringent tannins. Drink this compact, narrowly build Cabernet over the next handful of years.
Some dried-herb character to the baked blackberries and graphite on the nose. Rich, smooth and flavorful on the palate, swathed by dark cherries, cassis and firm yet juicy and polished tannins. Drink or hold.
