Note di degustazione
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Tomahawk Vineyard exhibits slightly more intensity, a more backward, earthy style, more elevated tannin, but deep black and red currant fruit and floral notes. It should drink nicely for 15 or more years.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Tomahawk Vineyard is dark, sensual and inviting, with no hard edges and a surprising amount of accessibility for the year. Black cherry, spice, menthol and new leather flesh out in a succulent, harmonious Cabernet Sauvignon that hits all the right notes.
A distinctly powerful, deep expression of Stags Leap emerges from the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon. Iron, smoke, tobacco and red plums add nuance as the wine builds to a huge tannic finish. The 2013 is likely to require quite a bit of time to fully come together.
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Tomahawk Vineyard is a challenging wine in this tasting, as it is both very ripe and somewhat vegetal. Blackberry jam, bay leaf, chocolate and confectionary notes are front and center. At this point, I don't think the 2013 will ever soften. I liked this far more in the early going.
