The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Shale successfully marries the more forward nature of this portion of the vineyard with a warm vintage. Hints of mint accent cassis on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is intense and ripe, framed by soft, plush tannins.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Shale is laced with dark red cherry, spice, menthol, licorice and gravel. Beams of tannin shape this mid-weight, vibrant 100% Cabernet from vineyards on Atlas Peak. I would give this a few years in bottle. Its balance is impeccable, even in the early going.
