Very deep purple-black in color, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is pretty closed and shy at this youthful stage, the nose offering glimpses at black plums and black currants over notes of chocolate box, star anise, brambles, forest floor and violets, with a touch of iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers on that promise with firm structure and tightly coiled fruit, looking to yield great dividends in the future. Forget it for 4-5 years and drink it over the next 15+.
