The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is just as fabulous from bottle as it was from barrel. A wine of phenomenal balance and total class, the 2017 dazzles from start to finish. Dark red cherry, sweet spice, tobacco and cedar add nuance, but more than anything else, the 2017 is all about the interplay of power and finesse. The tannins need time to soften, but that is a mere detail, as the 2017 is a rock star wine.

I tasted Kelly Fleming's 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate from two potential base blends. The final wine may include components that are not in these two blends, but both samples I saw point to a dense, powerful Cabernet Sauvignon with terrific depth, plenty of resonance and no real adverse signs of heat.
