2008 Owen Roe Red Yakima Valley

(36% cabernet sauvignon, 33% merlot and 31% cab franc): Dark red. Blackberry, cola, sassafras and lavender on the nose. Then sexy, sweet and viscous; quite creamy for 2008, and on the high side in alcohol (14.6%). Wonderfully plush and smooth wine with a long finish showing suave, broad tannins and a slight warmth. The signature wine under this label and in need of a few years of cellaring.
