Note di degustazione
The 2019 Pavillon de Poyferré comes across a little too oaky at the moment, masking some of the fruit profile. Some Asian spice aromas emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, gritty texture, quite peppery with good weight on the finish. This bottle just lacks a bit of finesse compared to others tasted. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting.

Tasted blind. Some subtle colour shading. Spicy topnote. This is a cool customer that seems to have a good constitution, even if it is relatively middle of the road. Could be GV . (JR)
The 2019 Pavillon De Léoville Poyferré is another great second wine in the vintage and has a great bouquet of black cherries, mulberries, spicy incense, and sappy, floral nuances. With medium to full-bodied richness on the palate, it offers terrific complexity, supple yet present tannins, the freshness and elegance of the vintage, and a great finish. It will evolve for 15+ years or more.
The 2019 Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré offers up attractive aromas of sweet cherries and berries mingled with subtle hints of licorice and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, supple and succulent, it's a juicy, fruit-driven second wine with a fleshy core and melting tannins. This is a nicely balanced, uncomplicated second wine which will offer delicious drinking on release.

Ch. Léoville-Poyferré is a Second Growth Saint-Julien property that was once part of the same estate as Ch. Léoville Barton and Ch. Léoville Las Cases. It has the most complex and varied soils of the three and produces the most voluptuous, seductive style of wine.
