Time reveals the real character of the vintages, and the 2014 Emilio Rojo turned to be the finest wine in this tasting. It feels young and lively and a lot less developed than the 2015. It is harmonious, developed and complex, with great depth.

Mainly Treixadura, Loureira and Albariño. Emilio Rojo is a cult wine producer within the region. The annual production of 5,000 bottles is certainly sought after and runs out quickly. The wine is kept on its lees for 18 months. Tasted blind. A restrained wine that needs time to open up. Serious nose dominated by evolving aromas of quince, lemon candy and flint. Restrained and tremendously concentrated on the palate, almost salty in its expression, with an elegant bitterness on the back palate. The restrained minerality dominates the fruit. Racy wine. (FC)
Light, bright yellow. Pungent, mineral-accented aromas of lemon pith, yellow plum, chamomile and honeysuckle. Juicy and concentrated on the palate, offering incisive citrus and orchard fruit flavors underscored by gingery spice and quinine notes. The floral and mineral notes repeat strongly on the nervy, focused, very persistent finish.
