Note di degustazione
The 1988 Doisy-Daëne has a slightly muted nose coming after the ‘89, needing coaxing from the glass, touches of petrol infusing the honeyed from but missing the same degree of complexity. The palate is balanced but a little standoffish, fine depth with good grip, marmalade and quince notes, but for me, a little abrupt and linear on the finish. Drink soon. Tasted at the vertical at Doisy-Daëne.

The 1988 is the lightest of these wines, with medium body, and a fragrant pineapple, peach, and apple-scented nose, with a honeysuckle component that adds complexity. The wine is crisp, dry, and ideal for drinking now and over the next 10 years. Last tasted 11/94
Pale color. Reticent, delicate aromas of peach and apricot skin. Slightly viscous on entry, but ultimately rather skinny, with the alcohol (15.1%) showing today. Lacks fat and real length. Not especially sweet.
