Note di degustazione
All Grenache from a mix of sites on the Central Coast, the 2019 Grenache Late Bloomer is ruby/plum-hued with a gorgeous nose of red plums, ripe blackberries, gamey herbs, tapenade, and pepper. This exotic, full-bodied beauty is opulently textured, has ripe, polished tannins, nicely integrated oak, and a blockbuster of a finish. It's a hedonistic, singular effort to drink over the coming 7-8 years.

The 2019 Late Bloomer, a varietal Grenache, was aged four years on the lees. This wine seduces with a zesty blend of crushed strawberries and exotic spice accentuated by dusty roses. It is silky and nearly creamy in feel, with juicy acidity and ripe red and blue fruits. The 2019 takes on a balsamic tinge toward the close. Despite its depth and concentration, it maintains fantastic freshness, leaving the palate reeling with crunchy tannins.
The 2019 Late Bloomer Grenache was matured in 50% new French oak for 48 months. The nose is bursting with red cherries and currants, cranberries, smoked meats, tobacco, underbrush and savory herbs. The medium-bodied palate offers ripe, detailed fruit and generous but integrated new oak spice. It has supple tannins, bright acidity and a long finish. It's big and bold yet easy to drink. 412 cases were made.
