Note di degustazione
More plums, ground herbs, espresso, and forest floor notes emerge from the 2017 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard. This savory, medium-bodied Pinot Noir is tight and closed on the palate, but it has loads of potential. Coming from a site in the Anderson Valley (all Pommard clone) and aged in 70% new barrels, it has ripe tannins and a balanced, ageworthy style. Give bottles 2-4 years and enjoy through 2029.

From Pommard clones, the 2017 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard was fermented with native yeasts and aged 16 months in 60% new French oak. Medium ruby-purple colored, it sashays out of the glass with provocative scents of star anise, potpourri and fallen leaves over a core of cherry preserves, raspberry pie and baking spices with a waft of iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has the most amazing perfume, framed by fantastically ripe, soft tannins, finishing long and layered. 124 cases produced.
