Another brilliant wine, which is no surprise, is the 2012 Chardonnay Dutton Ranch. With a light-greenish hue to the light-gold color, the wine has loads of tropical fruits, such as pineapple, mango and orange marmalade, followed by honeysuckle, a hint of hazelnut and a full-bodied, well-endowed, beautifully crafted Chardonnay with underlying stony minerality. This should drink nicely for another 5-6 years.

Very fine and Chablis-like in build and acidity but with a bit more richness on the mid palate. Very dry finish. Probably worth giving this a little more bottle age. (JR)
Good bright yellow. Hazelnut, flowers and a whiff of truffle on the nose. Silky and creamy in the mouth, with citrus oil and tropical fruit flavors nicely framed by lime peel. Sexy, persistent chardonnay with a slightly edgy finish calling for a year or two of patience.
