Note di degustazione
Full bottle 1,346 g. Farmed completely organic, LIVE certified (Low Intervention Viticulture and Enology). Pale ruby. Dried rose petal and mossy musk – expressive and delicate nose. A light bitterness and grip to the palate with fresh acidity. Lengthy spice to the finish. More intense than the 2023 La Source but not necessarily better. The bitterness and musk are more pronounced but the fruit flavour isn’t more concentrated. Just a different wine. (SCJ)

From vines planted in 1984, the 2023 Pinot Noir Summum was fermented with 100% whole clusters and matured in 40% New French oak. It has detailed aromas of strawberry, raspberry, bitter orange, peppercorn, lichen and rooibos tea. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly styled with detailed, perfumed flavors and silky tannins. It’s balanced by fireworks of fresh acidity and has a long finish with a flourish of spicy accents. 250 cases were made.
The 2023 Pinot Noir Summum lifts from the glass with a beguiling savory bouquet that blends wild herbs, earth tones, olive and exotic spice. Elegance defines the palate, with depths of ripe wild berry fruits and crisp mineral tones propelled by juicy acidity. A collage of sweet spice and citrus remains as the finish is dramatically long and gently tannic. A fantastic rendition of Pinot Noir Summum that leans into the freshness of the vintage.
