Note di degustazione
Good ruby-red. Blue fruit aromas lifted by fresh herbs, menthol and pepper. Creamy in the middle, but with a medicinal, mineral-driven reserve to the black cherry, menthol and herb flavors. Has some mid-palate fat but this is essentially a very cool style of cabernet. Finishes with dusty, slightly dry tannins and a repeating menthol quality.

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Vogt Vineyard is a deep, tightly coiled wine. Menthol, smoke, pine, licorice and black fruit emerge from the glass in this large-scaled, expressive wine. Graphite and tar add complexity on the finish. I especially like the energy and minerality here. There is tons of Howell Mountain character in the glass.
