Lastly, the 2016 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir reminds be a Grand Cru Burgundy with its ethereal, complex perfume of bright cherry and black berry fruits, rose petals, forest floor, and spice-laced aromas and flavors. It’s medium to full-bodied, has moderate tannins and impeccable balance, and is a beautiful, savory, classic Anderson Valley Pinot Noir. This wine was completely destemmed and spent 16 months in 50% new French oak. These wines come all from estate fruit and are made by Dan Fishman. The wines show singular characters, yet share impeccably made, balanced profiles.
Sourced entirely from the Angel Camp vineyard and aged in 80% new French oak, the medium ruby-purple colored 2016 Pinot Noir Anderson Valley reveals redcurrants, raspberries and wild strawberries with wafts of fallen leaves and tilled soil. The palate is medium-bodied with a good amount of red cherry layers and a chewy texture, finishing with lovely vibrancy. 590 cases produced.
